WANT TO VOLUNTEER IN THE ARTS? Here is what the ACS can do for you.
No non-profit organization can accomplish what it is meant to without the aid of volunteers. Volunteers are the back bone to the Arts Council of Surrey [ACS]. Volunteers assist us in office administration, gallery setup, in our ticket booth for shows, in various aspects of running the Newton Cultural Centre and multiple other important functions.
Further, the ACS is home to over 75 Art Groups, 265 Individual artists and 151 Associate Art Groups in the Literary, Performance and Visual disciplines. So if you are interested in building sets for stage – we can help with that. If you like to work with ‘words’ then perhaps volunteering at a Literary event is for you. We have many Visual Art Groups who are always looking for help in hanging art shows or simply directing people at out door exhibits.
Between the ACS and its members – we can make your Volunteering in the Surrey Arts community a satisfying and life-building experience.
So whether you have a day, a few hours in the day or a few days in the week, a weekend or a holiday – we can find a perfect place for you. Regardless of age or status, we have a volunteer position perfectly suited for you.
MENTORSHIP
No – we won’t throw you into a situation that you are not prepared for! Each volunteer will have a mentor, either a staff member, board member or experienced volunteer that will be there to mentor you through the task.

Become an ACS Volunteer today. Just send us your information! Tell us a little about you, experience you may or may not have and when you are available. Also, be sure to include what interests you in the arts…Literary, Performance, Visual or Office Admin.
