ACS VIRTUAL GALLERY: May 2020 Exhibition

TANGIBLE

with artists
GUNILLA KAY & LYN VERRA-LAY

In this time of distancing, touch has become a longed-for memory. Visual art can easily be tangible, which makes it accessible through both tactile and visible avenues.

GUNILLA KAY’S acrylic work on canvas and large borderless wooden images, have bumps and multiple layers to give dimensions and height. Her vivid fused glass pieces are cool to the touch with ooze, flow and added adornments that create delights for the viewer.

LYN VERRA-LAY’S wearable art in the form of hand-dyed silk, cotton and linen scarves, plus her mono type print and dyed silk pendants, are all practical pieces, as is the wooden tray with the acrylic and pastel embellished photo transfer of the train tracks at Sullivan Station.
