All Welcome!

EXHIBITION STATEMENT  | This exhibition celebrates the creativity and talent of young artists and the important contributions they make to our community.

As youth grow up in a rapidly changing world, their art reflects their experiences, identities, and perspectives. We believe it is important to provide young people with a space to share their voices and showcase their work.

This exhibition recognizes that youth artists are just as talented and creative as their older counterparts. At the same time, it celebrates the unique strengths of young artists, including their unique perspectives, imagination, and willingness to explore new ideas.

ABOUT YACOS |  The Youth Arts Council of Surrey (YACOS) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 with a mission to support young artists in Surrey, BC, while promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in the arts. We connect youth ages 13–25 with local arts opportunities and provide a platform to showcase emerging talent.

Throughout the year, we host free art events, offer exhibition opportunities, and community collaborations that help youth develop their creative skills and professional networks.
