ACS VIRTUAL GALLERY | November 2024 | Joanne Dennis

'Generational Legacy: Remembering Roots'
An exhibit by JOANNE DENNIS
EXHIBITION | November 2-28, 2024
RECEPTION | November 9th | 1-3pm

ARTIST STATEMENT | My experience within a family business of waste water treatment design, has brought my attention to the importance of finding a balance between human needs and the needs of the environment, and looking at ways in which we can shape our lives to create a better world. I look at art from the perspective that we are all human, we are all in it together, and we need to join forces to resolve the challenges that happen within our world. Using conservation, regeneration, and restoration themes, I want our audience to think about their role in society and appreciate how they can contribute to living together in harmony and preserve their legacy. I will be moving into the realm of generational stewardship and environmental stewardship combined. Creating stories of our life journeys through land and time.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE | Joanne is planning to be an Artist in Residence at NCC for the November show between 1-3pm on the following dates: Nov 4, 9, 12, 15, 20, 23, 26, and 28.
